This Quick Guide to the Dragonfllies of South Africa fills the gap left by our out-of-print fieldguide and is a companion to our damselfly fieldguide with 300 illustrations of 87 of the 93 dragonfly (Anisoptera) species currently known to occur in South Africa. All are shown to scale at 1.25x life-size.
The guide is 1.2 m wide when fully opened (see below) and folds down to a handy field size which comes in a sturdy plastic sleeve. Below the fold-out view is an example of a double spread and below that, a view of the detail - male and female top and side illustrations, distribution map and English, Afrikaans and Latin names.
